SPOT THE ROGUE: Fundraiser Edition

Want to help EncoreMichigan.com raise the funds needed to keep providing comprehensive coverage of Michigan theater? Hint: If you are reading this site right now, then yes, you do. EncoreMichigan.com is the cornerstone of theater coverage in our state, providing far more than the Rogue Critic can, and with substantially more site traffic to bring readers to area productions.

Through the end of October, the Rogue Critic announces the return of the marginally popular SPOT THE ROGUE contest to help EncoreMichigan.com. Now you can make a difference — for free* — just by playing SPOT THE ROGUE!

Here's how it works: for every SPOT THE ROGUE entry made by the end of October, the Rogue Critic will pledge $25 to EncoreMichigan.com. See the Rogue in her natural habitat, snap a picture, and email it to roguecritic@gmail.com — and I'll open my wallet. It's that easy to help.

Now, a few things pertaining to this special edition of SPOT THE ROGUE.
•Remember that anyone can play, including cast, crew, and theater staff.
•This being a fundraiser and all, the definition of "Rogue activity" is looser than ever. Players are encouraged to SPOT THE ROGUE anywhere except her home or place of business.
•In a similar vein, clues as to my whereabouts will be freely provided and frequently updated, both in the "What's New?" sidebar on this site and on the Rogue Critic Facebook page.
•Let's arrive at this honestly, though — limit one entry per person per day.

The first SPOT THE ROGUE contest had 29 entries in a 2-month period. I'm betting we can beat that number in the next 10 days. So spread the word, contribute however you can, and keep your eyes peeled to SPOT THE ROGUE!

*NOTE: The Rogue Critic encourages all readers and theater artists to dig deep to help EncoreMichigan.com, if possible, using their own funds. The SPOT THE ROGUE fundraiser intends to raise awareness and add to the fundraising power of the theater community at large.
